The role manages the delivery of identified acquisition projects and also includes project administration, funding applications, internal and external approvals and land acquisition for new build projects.



  • Support the Delivery team and New Business Managers in the delivery of social housing projects.

  • Support New Business Managers to develop initial feasibility of projects

  • Manage and deliver feasibility exercises and project appraisals in conjunction with the Design team and submit these to internal and external stakeholders as required.

  • Prepare internal appraisals for internal decision making in accordance with the project plan.

  • With New Business managers and project managers set up, monitor and control project programmes and quality plans through all stages of the project life cycle.

  • With QS set up, monitor and manage project cost plans.

  • Administer the progression of acquisition projects through to handover in conjunction with the New Business manager

  • Support project managers to deliver new build projects as required

  • Organise valuations and surveys

  • Prepare submissions for external funding approval and submit them to external parties as required and as per the procedures and project plan.

  • Obtain information from all stakeholders to complete and submit for various internal and external approval stages

  • Prepare and submit legal instructions when required and in accordance with project plan

  • Work with legal and finance teams to prepare and track funding applications and drawdowns

  • Keep Programme planner appraised of all changes to project schedule. Keep QS appraised of all changes to costs and programme.

  • Report on progress and project changes regularly to Head of Delivery and other internal stakeholders as required.

  • Liaise with other organisations, particularly local authorities to develop beneficial relationships and ensure project delivery.

  • Agree property requirements for acquisition projects with New Business manager

  • Manage the acquisition process as per development procedures

  • Ensure all Health & Safety regulations are adhered to.

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, property services, housing services, finance, legal to ensure timely delivery of units into management

  • Keep Housing Services and Property Services informed of progress and expected hand-over of property dates.

  • With New Business Managers, manage the handover process of new units to Property Services and Housing Services.

  • Ensure that Clúid Housing Association and funders guidelines / procedures are adhered to at all times.

  • Attend all meetings pertinent to your role.

  • Keep accurate project records and relevant information up to date at all times.

  • Maintain full project information for each project on new EDRM/Project database

Post - Hand-Over

  • Liaise with Property Services and Housing Services during the defects liability period ensuring that defects are dealt with by contractors/consultants

  • Ensure that Clúid’s expected level of customer service is maintained throughout the defects period

  • Assist in preparing post project reviews


  • Represent the Association to other agencies

  • Where required assist with organising PR events for the region

  • Respond to requests for information from external and internal customers.

  • Act as an information and advice source on development issues to staff


  • Request / Attend training appropriate to your role

  • To positively promote the Association in all activities

  • To exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality where required in all aspects of the role

  • Any other duties which are consistent with your role
