Seeking a Network Operations Center Manager to oversee the operations of 24x7 Network Operations Center facility.

 

WiLine Networks has built and operates the fastest growing independent voice and data network in the San Francisco Bay Area. To continue the expansion of our company we are currently seeking a Customer Support Center Manager to setup a WiLine team inIreland to service our customers inSan Francisco,CaliforniaUSA. The Manager will oversee the operations of 24x7NetworkOperationsCenter facility. Assure the NOC provides outstanding customer service to all customers and remains on the leading edge of telecommunications technology.

 

WiLine offers a full suite of voice services including both hosted and PBX-based solutions. Our private, Ethernet network allows us to customize and scale transit (internet access) and transport (point-to-point) data services to meet any bandwidth requirement. And our value-based pricing offers more services at less cost, and typically saves our customers 20% to 30+% on their current telecom expense.

 

Major Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for Setting up and managing the business processes of the NOC.

•           SuperviseNetworkOperationsCenter(NOC) responsible for resolving network and service problems reported by business customers on complex voice and data services

•           Interface with all departments to resolve service problems

•           Develop methods and procedures to effectively track trouble resolution and establish internal measurements to evaluate customer satisfaction

•           Manage staff to support 24x7 NOC coverage

•           Manage functions related to Operations Support Systems (OSS)

•           Provide training plan to enable technicians to test, isolate, analyze, and dispatch problems out to other organizations across multiple technologies

•           Develop and Oversee internal systems and establish requirements for other systems needed to support control center operations

•           Deal with personnel issues of staff; including hiring, evaluating performance, and disciplining

•           Manage expense and capital requirements directly related to department

  • Manage and improve processes to improve customer responses and enhance ticket flow from the NOC team to ensure timely customer problem resolution.
  • Design and maintain NOC knowledge base.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years in technical operations or NOC or related field, preferably in telecommunications field; plus a minimum five years telecommunications experience; or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • 2-3 years of management experience in aNetworkOperationsCenter

•           Knowledge of network architectures and technologies

•           Knowledge of network management software and technologies

•           Extensive knowledge of IP network services and applications

•           Strong knowledge of the telecommunications industry with emphasis on current trends

  • Process definition and process improvement experience required
  • Excellent oral/written and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to direct personnel in a fast paced Network center environment
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, ability to efficiently utilize all available resources to provide effective solutions and explore all possibilities to facilitate the best solution Ability to keep abreast of current technology and educate staff of new technological advancements
  • Strong knowledge of internet, VoIP, and CRM software environments
  • Knowledge of Windows, Unix, and other Operating Systems and equipment command languages

•           Understanding of database structure and administration
