Membership Services Officer

 

Job title- Membership Services Officer

Organisation –National Employers Association representing over 1,200 businesses. Membership profile includes representation in every county. Head office is in Dublin.

Overall purpose of role:

The Membership Services Officer is responsible for developing the organisation’s relationship with its existing members by liaising with them to ensure that they are constantly kept informed of the services, supports and benefits of membership and issues of concern to their industry.   The Membership Services Officer also plays a key role in recruiting new members to the organisation, visiting potential members and carrying out pre-election inspection visits. 

Main duties:

  • ·         Carry out Face to face meeting with members in their premises on a regular basis
  • ·         Update members on services provided
  • ·         Update members on current issues
  • ·         Report to head office concerns of members
  • ·         Development of membership
  • ·         Liaise with existing members to identify potential new members
  • ·         Carry on inspection visits of premises of new applicants
  • ·         Assist with organisation’s events, seminars and conferences
  • ·         Maintain and update the membership database
  • ·         Update membership information on organisation’s website
  • ·         Support Sector committees

Skills and Competencies required:

Applicants should have excellent communication and influencing skills and an ability to build strong relationships with the membership of the organisation.  The ability to work both as part of a team and independently is essential. Applicant must be computer literate. A Full Drivers Licence is required and a company car will be provided, the successful candidate will on average spend 2 days per week in the organisation’s offices and 3 days on the road visiting members.
