The regional Large Customer Sales (LCS) teams partner closely with our major advertising clients and agencies to develop digital solutions that build our clients' businesses and brands. We are in a unique and exciting position to shape how marketing and business is conducted in the digital age. We provide consultancy services across Google's broad range of solutions, from Google AdWords, to YouTube, to Mobile, that help our customers connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences and get the most out of the web.

The role: Media Specialist (German)

Reach for new revenue-generating heights as a Sales Googler. Businesses that partner with Google come in all shapes, sizes and market caps, and no one Google advertising solution works for all. Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing business grows. You leverage your entrepreneurial drive to target, educate and persuade new customers to embrace Google's latest advertising products and technologies. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, understand the details of individual campaigns and persistently explore and uncover the business needs of your key clients. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

Media Specialists are focused on growing advertiser spend on the Google Display Network (GDN Text, GDN Display, YouTube) and Mobile. Your mission is to drive sales of non-search advertising solutions at scale through your Large Customer Sales vertical team and develop best practices through specialist training, support and non-search product expertise. We are looking for enthusiastic self starters to provide an effective consulting service for Sales Teams to sell at both scale and on customer by customer basis across the GDN and on YouTube. You should have a good understanding of both online and offline display ads markets, be passionate about our product offering and have strong sales skills. You will work with Product Specialists to be a non-search expert in your market. Your involvement will also be essential to develop, standardize and share best practice and deliver commercial propositions for non-search. You will work closely with the publisher-facing teams to ensure we are best matching supply of ad space inventory with demand for your assigned market/region. You will be the evangelist for current and future non-search innovations, translating products into solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized support to account and industry managers within your vertical-sector, advertisers and industry partners.
  • Support sales teams on top non-search advertisers in your market.
  • Implement creative ways to improve our client relationships and increase revenue by up-selling and promoting the Google Display Network, YouTube and Mobile.
  • Provide strategic advice and help solve performance issues by working as a consultant to key clients.
  • Create and optimize non-search campaigns for top advertisers in your market's portfolio.

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrable experience in account management (direct and/or offline), customer support, project management or consulting.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate product features into commercial solutions.
  • Creative problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ad operations experience (trafficking, rich media, and/or inventory management).
  • Fluency in English and German.
