This position is based in our EU Headquarters in Dublin, Ireland or Hamburg, Germany.

The role: Media Sales Consultant, EU headquarters or Hamburg

Does winning new business get your adrenaline pumping? Drive growth for Google's Online Sales Group as part of the Inside Sales Organization, the sole acquisition engine at Google. You collaborate with our Account Management teams to devise strategies to acquire specific segments of your market. Work independently, travel to trade shows, visit large prospective clients--it's all part of this role. Be rewarded for being an overachiever while driving incremental growth in your market. You prescribe the right marketing mix based on Google's core advertising products through acquisition of predefined clients. You are product- and industry-savvy, and your energetic drive propels you toward new acquisitions and building and managing your own book of business.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect new potential advertisers via various strategic initiatives such as cross departmental collaboration with marketing, networking, tradeshows and online research.
  • Develop solid sales pitch strategies that optimize the market potential.
  • Approach prospects with tailored presentations, industry data to set campaign targets aligned with account management team. Client meetings will be performed over the phone and face to face when needed.
  • Organize seminars and identify relevant speaker opportunities and trade shows in local markets.
  • Organize quarterly projects to support acquisition strategy and business needs.

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proven technical ability with customer-relationship management programs (CRM).
  • Availability for regular travel to local market.
  • Strong communication and persuading skills and the ability to pitch comprehensive advertising solutions over the telephone and face to face to prospects.
