About the Role

This role is based in the Aon Risk Solutions business unit and is a key role in supporting an aggressive commercial plan for the business.  This role will focus on marketing activities and strategies that help the business create leads and opportunities within Aon Risk Solutions.

The role will focus on the development of a marketing strategy for the business that support sales and encompass content, digital marketing, marketing communications, with an ultimate goal to build relations with our target markets, develop leads and generate revenue to contribute to the business growth plans. The role will ultimately be measured with key financial and lead generation metrics.

About You

Connecting/Communications

  • Working in tandem with overall business and sales strategy, to develop and execute the marketing strategy
  • Working closely with commercial proposition leads, developing relationships with target markets through creation and maintenance of prospect/suspect database of contacts as well as developing relations with key clients with a view to supporting our sales team in upselling our core solutions

Public Procurement

  • Scheduling and co-ordinating qualification and proposal kick-off meetings
  • Delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within defined timeframes
  • Responsible for managing the database structure and record management system        (e-tenders). Register expression of interest and submit responses through e-tenders.

Project/ Bid Management

  • Manage the bid qualification process for new opportunities
  • Assist the Bid team in developing a proposal structure
  • Work closely with the bid team and collate inputs  and develop response

Sales Management

  • Create Exec Board Packs
  • Develop reports on sales pipeline
  • A key measure of the role will be lead and revenue generation arising from the marketing activities

Sales Collateral

Positioning Aon Risk Solutions in the Irish market through thought leadership/white papers, research (surveys) – local, regional and global

  • Working with practice leads and global marketing teams to develop relevant local content for the business

Digital Marketing

  • Development and execution of digital marketing strategy
  • Ongoing management and coordination of the digitial marketing – marketing content, through digital media strategy:
  • Social media and website updates
  • Developing marketing communications for the business
  • Managing marketing campaigns, with a primary focus of creating qualified leads and opportunities for each of the practice leads
  • Event management – sponsorships, Aon hosted events

Skills required:

  • CRM software knowledge 
  • Strategically focused, yet have the ability to execute on strategy
  • Marketing communications design capabilities (Adobe Suite, Indesign, Illustrator)
  • Digital/new technologies experience – SEO, PPC, Social, Email etc.
  • Experience in a fast – paced, sales driven environment
  • Ability to build relations and understand the wide variety of service offerings across Aon’s businesses
  • Results oriented – ability to measure success of marketing campaigns through leave and revenue generation
  • Proven track record in a multinational organisation, preferably in a B to B financial services  or insurance sector environment

Minimum requirements

  • Degree or Masters qualified in Marketing, Communications, Sales or business discipline
  • Minimum 5 years marketing or commercial experience in a multinational organisation
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and execute marketing strategies
  • A keen interest in commercial aspect of marketing
