Management Accountant / Financial Analyst

Rapidly expanding Technology Company are looking to recruit an experienced Management Accountant / Financial
Analyst to join their finance team on a fixed term contract basis.

The Management Accountant / Financial Analyst will support the Financial Controller and will be responsible for the meeting the weekly, month and uarterly financial reporting requirements for the organisation that currently have operations in Ireland, UK, Mainland Europe and the US.

The position

The successful candidate will be expected to enhance the strength of the financial team in order to meet the ambitious goals for the business. The key responsibilities of the position are as follows;

  • Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant / Financial Analyst will be responsible for meeting the weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reporting commitments via various monthly, quarterly and annual financial activities across different countries.  
  • Day to day management of corporate administration
  • The successful candidate will be expected to multi-task and prioritize work in order to meet critical
  • deadlines and have the ability to work in a fluid environment with rotating priorities.
  • The Management / Financial Analyst will be responsible for the setting up and implementation of controls, implementation of a new ERP system across international sites, detailed costing of product, and conducting variance analysis.
  • Responsible for the preparation of ad hoc analyses and special projects.
  • Responsible for monthly closing, monthly journals, bank reconciliation's including intercompany transactions, account analysis; monthly, quarterly and annual reporting; variance analysis, fixed asset and capitalization.
  • Submission of VAT, VIES, Payroll & Intra Stat returns.
  • UK Payroll processing, & coordinate activities with payroll provider for France & U.S.
  • Grant claim preparation & liaison with companies Auditors.
  • Margin analysis’s by customer, product, region, project
  • Accounts receivable performance & Invoicing in all overseas locations.
  • Overseeing the accounts payable function - processing of Invoices, credit cards, Expense reports, Creditors reconciliations & payments. Also providing support to A.P. Administrator.  

Qualifications and Experience

  • The successful candidate will be Degree qualified in Accounting / Finance with professional qualification, preferably from ACA, ACCA or CIMA. A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role is also required.
  • A good understanding and experience of ERP Systems & internal controls.
  • Excellence with Microsoft Office applications
  • Good business acumen and the well-developed decision making capability
  • A common sense approach and an overall resourcefulness to meet commitments regardless of the obstacles.
  • Team oriented mindset with ability to work well across functions and geographies
