Recruitment Plus is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Manager in Co. Meath for a manufacturing company who will be responsible for a team of 5 technicians on site.   

Monday to Friday manufacturing operations.

Location: Co. Meath, commutable from Louth, Monaghan, Cavan, Dublin North.


  • Diploma or Degree qualified in Maintenance Engineering or equivalent
  • Must have solid experience in a manufacturing environment some being in the food manufacturing industry with good people management skills.


  • The role is responsible for engineering procurement, engineering stores, Continuous Improvement and maintenance planning.
  • To manage and promote an environment that challenges the existing process and strives for excellence through facilitating continuous improvement and engineering maintenance best practice e.g. DMAIC. 5Y, GMP & 5S.
  • Lead a training initiative for engineering development focussing on a 3 year training plan for all engineering departmental personnel.
  • Analyse and publish equipment downtime trends on a regular basis whilst implementing CI programmes that sustain continuous improvement with your Maintenance team.
  • Review the current inventory of spare components and recommend any changes to stock levels, components or sourcing to optimise the balance between adequate spare parts inventory and stock value.
  • The role will deliver a comprehensive Maintenance System incorporating all site assets delivering improvement plant reliability through predictive techniques.
  • Deliver tight control of all service contracts ensuring "value for money" is delivered.
  • Enduring compliance with safety and industry regulations
  • Supervising technical jobs on site and ensuring high standards of equipment maintenance / repair works including planning of routine, scheduled preventive maintenance
  • Developing and measuring standards for business process and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Delivering and managing the implementation of engineering and process improvement initiatives across sites
  • Maintain relevant systems of work and record keeping as required by statutory bodies, customer and factory requirements.
