Duties & Responsibilities

This individual will work within the Aviva Health MI team to deliver MI data analysis and reporting services to support our business. The MI team have responsibility for providing the reporting structure that supports all aspects of the Aviva Health business.   This individual will be a key contributor to the frontline support services provided by the MI team to all business units within Aviva Health. The MI team provide reporting and analysis service to the numerous business units within Aviva Health

Skills, knowledge & experience required

  • Some experience as an analyst/developer in a customer support environment within an MI team
  • Experience in analysis of business requirements and production of technical specifications and high quality MI solutions
  • Experience using MI Reporting tools to produce strategic reports and dashboards for use by the business community
  • Extensive knowledge of the Software development Life Cycle and the importance of each of the individual components
  • Experience of Data Warehouse System Development Life Cycle
  • Interpretation and mapping of complex business data
  • ETL process design
  • Experience with SAS Data Integration Studio, Information Map Studio and Web Report Studio is of advantage
  • Experience in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL in Oracle 10G/11G environment  
  • Business Intelligence reporting tools (SAS Business Intelligence or other comparable BI tools)
  • Extensive knowledge of full development lifecycle
  • Excellent communication and administration skills
  • Ability to take initiative to create business opportunities through the results of data analysis
  • Adaptability and flexibility to operate in a dynamic, challenging, and exciting environment
  • Strong personal drive, delivering a high level of professionalism
  • Track record in achieving objectives and ability to work to a highly productive level meeting demanding targets and deadlines
  • Ability to break down complex problems into logical tasks and ability to think creatively
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills with ability to manage several priorities at once
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
