Job Summary / Purpose


Ø  This newly created position within the Property Adjusting Services business of Operations Manager will lead the review and delivery of our operational people, processes and technology and work with our Business line managers to develop and grow the Property Adjusting Services unit.


Duties and Responsibilities


  • Maintain operational metrics and SLAs to agreed levels
  • Responsible for overall day-to-day operations, quality and performance management and training.
  • Assist with the technical supervision of a team of Property Adjusting professionals.  This task will include quality review of key documents, allocation of losses and individual portfolio oversight
  • Identify and continuously drive process implementation and improvement
  • Successful candidate will be required to assist the development and marketing of this Property Adjusting service.
  • Working closely with the Directors to identify and market business opportunities.
  • Attend client meetings.
  • Be involved in the preparation of tender documents and proposals
  • Attend middle management meetings in Dublin and become involved in various projects throughout the business.
  • Become an active member of Business Continuity Plan team and project
  • The Property Adjusting services unit will work closely with the other Claims and Adjusting services units  in Dublin and the successful candidate will be required to be proficient in the managing of these units if required.


Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 7 – 10 years experience as a loss adjuster or in a similar position within the Insurance Environment
  • Experience in a project team
  • Strong leader of people, continuously coaching and developing the benchmark
  • Good client relationship skills.
  • A track record of strong operational delivery managing a large team
  • Proven team working skills, the ability to see the "big picture"
  • Ability to Interact with the other lines of businesses, Directors, Managers and colleagues
  • Data driven action orientated, with strong reporting, data analysis,  and organisational abilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong presentation and training skills
  • Inquisitive, analytical and challenges the status quo
  • Proven experience of managing to a budget
  • Knowledge of project and program management desirable
  • Ability to multi- task and maintain organisation in a fast paced changing environment
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • The ability to travel required
  • Flexibility
  • Minimum CIP with significant progress towards completion of ACII/ACILA preferred
