Job Title: Lean Manufacturing Engineer

Our client has a requirement for a Lean Manufacturing Engineer for a role based in Limerick.  The purpose of this role is to plan, direct and co-ordinate Change Management within the company

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Work as a strategic partner with all other functions within the company, ensuring Lean strategy supports the business goals and objectives
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve standards & costs, consistent with business objectives
  • Develop and implement an effective communication plan, to support the Lean programme
  • Promote a quality-focused culture
  • Co-ordinate the introduction of a fully integrated and sustained Change Management process within the company program
  • Positively impact change, by being a change agent for programs in the organization
  • Meet and exceed established savings objectives
  • Identify Continuous Improvement and standardization opportunities, developing and enforcing methods to sustain the gains

Educational Background / Skills

  • Third Level Degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Post Graduate qualification in Lean an advantage
  • Master Black Belt Certified is desirable
  • 5+ years experience in a similar role
  • Operational experience at managerial level, ideally with multi-department responsibilities
  • Lean Sigma methodologies
  • Exceptional Project Management Skills
  • Exceptional Problem Solving Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and networking skills
  • Responsiveness in meeting the demands of diverse and rapidly changing operating environments
  • Ability and eagerness to be involved with the businesses and contribute to business success
  • Ability to diagnose organizational problems and to build effective relationships with employees at all levels
  • Good operational understanding of the industry, the fundamental business principles and its business drivers
  • Thorough understanding of Lean tools and Principles
