The area: Large Customer Sales (LCS)

The regional Large Customer Sales (LCS) teams partner closely with our major advertising clients and agencies to develop digital solutions that build our clients' businesses and brands. We are in a unique and exciting position to shape how marketing and business is conducted in the digital age. We provide consultancy services across Google's broad range of solutions, from Google AdWords, to YouTube, to Mobile, that help our customers connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences and get the most out of the web.

The role: Industry Manager FMCG

Actively help grow customer business as a sales Googler. Businesses that partner with Google come in all shapes, sizes and market caps, and no one Google advertising solution works for all. Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing business grows. You leverage your entrepreneurial drive to target, educate and persuade new customers to embrace Google's latest advertising products and technologies. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, understand the details of individual campaigns and persistently explore and uncover the business needs of your key clients. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

As a Google Industry Manager for FMCG, you'll develop business relationships with top clients in the Healthcare sector. In this role you will develop and execute strategies to drive Google's overall business with your client base. This job combines consulting work with sales & relationship management. You'll report to the Industry Head and work closely with a team of Account Managers & Analysts who help to support & deliver your sales efforts. You'll combine exceptional sales and marketing knowledge, compelling communication/presentation skills and inspired prospecting/analytical abilities to develop the business. You???ll build relationships with clients and their agencies. You will educate and evangelise best practice use of the internet in marketing. And you'll ensure that Google provides the right level of service and consultancy to help existing clients grow their business faster. This is an exciting opportunity to work for the biggest player in the fastest growing advertising medium, with some of the biggest advertisers in the world.


  • Target new customers and develop strong relationships with clients and marketing services agencies.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business needs of your advertisers and insights into their consumers' behavior.
  • Analyse data, trends and client performance, develop solid strategic sales plans, and prepare and conduct strategic pitches and sales presentations.
  • Collaborate and consult with major customers with the goal of extending relationships, increasing your client and agency base and optimising their advertising expenditures.
  • Develop case studies of successful campaigns to share insights with customers and evangelise at client events.

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BSc degree. In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of the challenges of branding through digital marketing.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Strong sales and deal-closing behaviors. Substantial experience in business development, client relationship and servicing skills, and consultative selling, with the ability to deliver results under pressure.
  • Solid media experience, preferable online, with a good understanding of search.
  • Solid knowledge of Google products.
  • Proven success in the FMCG industry in sales and marketing and/or management consulting experience.
  • Proven track record in advertising sales and media account management.
