IT Support Engineer - Level 3 Technical Lead for IT Services Company

vbt are recruiting for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our Network Support Team to provide Level 3 Technical Support.  The team is responsible for providing Telephone/Remote Access Helpdesk and On-site Support & Network Installation for our expanding client base.  The successful candidate will be based in our offices in Kilmacanogue, which is located on the N11 south of Bray.

Candidate Profile - Candidates must have the following:

  • Previous experience in an IT Helpdesk Level 3Technical support role is essential
  • Previous experience of  System Administration, Support & Troubleshooting of Windows Server 2008/2012, Windows Small Business Server 2008/2011 and Exchange Server 2008/2010
  • Previous experience of  System Administration of Windows 7 and XP
  • Previous experience of Support & Troubleshooting Routers, Firewalls, VPN Set-Up & Configuration
  • Experience of Microsoft Office, Printers & Smart Phones
  • Excellent diagnostic, problem solving and trouble-shooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills with fluent spoken and written English
  • Ability to take ownership of issues and follow through to resolution
  • Must be team player with strong customer service focus
  • MCP / MCSE / MCSA / CCNA qualifications would be an advantage

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Provide Telephone & Remote Access Technical  Support to Client End Users
  • Provide Level 3 support for calls escalated from Level 1/2 Support Engineers
  • Ensure excellent customer service is provided to Clients and SLAs are met
  • Trouble-shoot issues relating to Servers, PCs, Laptops and Printers to include Connectivity, Email, Security, Permissions, Backups etc.
  • Build Servers prior to onsite installation

Salary:  Competitive salary depending on experience and qualifications.
