The Head of National Accounts will lead the team of National/Key Account Managers and will focus on the head office and key buying locations of assigned customer accounts, while coordinating closely with field sales assigned to these customers` secondary locations, where appropriate. The key responsibilities will be as follows:
- Exceed all targets as agreed with the Sales Director for National and Key Account customers, in terms of revenue growth by identifying opportunities to grow the business and enhance profitability. Be commercially aware of current trading position. Work closely with managed accounts, creating effective communication channels with all stakeholders
- Drive the business by ensuring a key focus on National/Key Accounts sales development including; effective prospecting, new business development and development of existing accounts
- Proactively lead a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones over a defined period
- Negotiate effective national accounts rebates/LTA`s in line with budgetary requirements
- Lead solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel
- Prepare professional business review documentation and agree financial aspects of contract.
- Monthly analysis of key customer management information, making valid recommendations on customer improvements
- Carry out Customer top level review meetings at least quarterly and regular face to face meetings with key stakeholders
- Evaluate customer account risk and proactively work to avoid re-tenders by taking appropriate strategic action
- Ensure successful management of debt and margin for the National Account customer base in line with budget targets and company policy for National Accounts
- Operate within the terms of the SLA in relation to delivery frequencies, etc
- Ensure all our national/key account customers are made fully aware of any new product of category launches or promotions
5 - 8 years knowledge / experience in FMCG sector and managing Key/National Accounts
Third level qualification specialising in Sales/Marketing/Food/Business would be advantageous but not a requirement
Full driving licence

Excellent computer skills including MS Office
