Head of Ecommerce - Harvey Norman Ireland

Calling all successful Online Marketing Managers and E-commerce Managers! Are you up for taking outstanding start-up results and growing them to market leading best practice? Want to be at the helm of the online operation for a strong brand with 98% brand recognition? Do you think you can improve on close to a hundred thousand online visitors per week? Do you think you can increase online sales to well in excess of €8 million per annum?

The Role

This is a fantastic role at the forefront of our online channel to market. Our activity is highly successful and getting better by the day. Thanks to our strong brand, evolving platform, focused team, and competitive market-leading offer, we are already ahead of the game and now we want to take that further.

We want to keep people coming to us, be it via our website, through our stores, or via social media - and to achieve this we want you to drive our online customer experience, retention, and conversion strategy. With your outstanding understanding of the customer, a passion for great content, and outstanding delivery skills, you will lead our eCommerce strategy to successfully attract, retain and maximise online and offline spend from our Omni-channel customers.

This role will help propel Harvey Norman Ireland into a market leading and dominant online position within Ireland, and to enhance the shopping experience for our customers in a way that reflects and strengthens our retail offering.

Other areas of responsibility include:

Channel Marketing: Responsibility for PPC, SEO, Social, Video, Display, Mobile, Email etc.

Multi-Channel: Supporting retail campaigns through effective online marketing promotions and other marketing activities. Full integration of online into other sales channels & marketing activities

Customer Acquisition and Retention: Growing the online database and delivering outstanding integrated online campaigns that increase CTR and better conversions online.

Delivery: Overseeing all aspects of online trading including delivery structures, processes, and fulfilment.

Content: Ensuring all product, editorial and campaign content online is kept updated, interesting, and fresh. SEO optimized and fresh at regular intervals.

Platform Development: Monitoring and briefing Ecommerce site development, analyzing user experience to deliver improved conversion and liaising with Australian based platform development teams.

Merchandising: Liaising with buying and category managers and ensuring proper management of our in-house web content team (preferably end-to-end experience)

Reporting:  Commercial and data-analysis skills & web analytics systems - reporting into CEO

Targets: Meeting acquisition, conversion, and retention targets, ultimately to take P&L responsibility for the P&L of the online channel

ROPO: understanding of Research online Purchase Offline, have the ability to develop a unique and market leading ROPO strategy for Harvey Norman Ireland.

Customer Experience: Deliver the best customer experience across the e-commerce site from every aspect of customer interaction and end-to-end experience of the online engagement to delivery and post-sales service

You

To shine in this role, you will have a background in a multi-channel trading or retail environment with prior management experience within ecommerce.

This is an all encompassing role in terms of managing channels, journeys, functionality, look and feel, and the online team - ultimately to develop the website into a best in class Multi-Channel retailer site.

You will be commercial and customer-facing you should be highly numerate with strong analytical and good problem solving skills and the ability to overcome issues, propose solutions and make commercial decisions, sometimes under pressure and in a fast paced environment.

You will also possess strong interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills. Significant technical knowledge of ecommerce and online marketing strategy is essential and you will have a robust understanding of emerging online consumer trends and Social Media.

Salary - Circa €50,000 plus performance incentives
