Café Novo, a chic international bar and brasserie conveniently located on Harry Street, just a few steps from Grafton Street is currently recruiting a 

Head Chef to join our Café Novo team

Key Responsibilities of this role are:

• To assume responsibility for the running of Café Novo Kitchen
• To assist the Executive Head Chef with the overall running of the kitchen areas and to assist in maintaining all back of house areas including the staff canteen and delivery bay
• To work and lead through the Company's Proud Values:

• To contribute to the production of food items as instructed by the Executive Head Chef, ensuring the highest standard in food concept and presentation
• To ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely fashion and as instructed by the Executive Head Chef
• To ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen are prepared to the approved standards of presentation
• To adhere to HACCP procedures at all times
• To participate in monthly stock takes as required
• To work in accordance with health & safety legislations and to report any faults to equipment to the manger/supervisor
• To be familiar with and have knowledge of the hotels daily business
• To take direction from your department managers and to assist in the monitoring of food quality & hygiene standards
• To ensure that all kitchen staff observe appropriate systems of hygiene during food preparation & storage

The ideal candidate for this position:
 Must have previous experience in a similar role and demonstrated business/industry awareness.
 Be courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of service.
 Must be standards driven and detail orientated, with the desire to progress within the luxury market.
 Must have the ability to lead, multi-task and make sound decisions in a fast paced environment.
 Maintain a professional image at all times through appearance.
 Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 Must have knowledge of HACCP and hole a relevant qualification.
