Are you a HR Business Partner who is a positive influencer with a pragmatic and hands on approach? Cornmarket are looking to hire a HR Business Partner who has 5 years* experience in providing comprehensive HR support, partnering with the business to build and implement HR solutions in line with business & HR strategy.  The HR Business Partner must have a strong HR background in managing the operational elements of the HR Function is essential. 

The ideal candidate will be a proactive member of the senior management team within Cornmarket Insurance Services (CIS).  You will be responsible for implementing best practice initiatives around recruitment and selection, employee relations, employee engagement and training and development.

Main responsibilities: 

  • Lead and develop a HR people strategy for CIS to ensure an excellent employee experience with emphasis on business partnership, coaching and development of the company culture. Enhancing a culture of personal responsibility and accountability by leading by example. 

  • Responsible for key HR processes and all elements of HR Operations including recruitment & selection, employee relations, training & development, performance management, well-being, compensation & benefits. To continually evaluate people processes and policies against business needs, HR best practice and employment legislation, offering solutions and implementing as relevant.

  • Support the implementation and management of the Performance Management process.  Support and coach all managers and employees in utilising the performance management process effectively.

  • You will lead the compensation & benefits process including the company’s annual pay review and bonus processes.  Continuously analysing competitive salary benchmarking and benefits management.  Reporting on compensation practices in the external market and making recommendations.

The level of Knowledge / Skills / Experience (Technical Competency):

  • Knowledge of risk control & regulatory environment within Financial Services

  • Excellent knowledge of existing and pending employment legislation

  • Third level qualification and CIPD qualified.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience at a Senior HR Generalist role, ideally in financial services.

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Self-motivated and enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment

  • Strong Communicator and excellent relationship building and influencing skills

  • Strong work ethic and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
