Financial Sales position


 Now Recruiting for Training Course Commencing in February

We require Financial Sales Consultants for the Cork Region

As a member of the Field Sales Team, the role will involve marketing our range of specifically tailored financial products to public sector employees with a view to giving them a full financial health check, always providing advice on the basis of what is best for the customer.

Purpose of the Role

Part of the Irish Life and Permanent Group with offices in Dublin, Cork and Galway, Cornmarket Group Financial Services Ltd is Ireland's market leader in providing financial services for affinity groups. Exciting opportunities exist nationwide for Financial Sales Consultants.

Starting with a 10-week intensive training programme which provides a full insight into the public sector market,  you will visit our clients marketing our range of specifically tailored financial services products. Throughout the course there will be detailed training provided covering the company's sales procedures with a particular emphasis on compliance in line with all our regulatory requirements. No cold calling is required, we have a database of clients. 
Evening work will be involved.

Candidates will ideally be of graduate calibre, and possess ambition, ability and willingness to work in a highly sophisticated sales environment. The remuneration package will include a basic salary as well as an excellent bonus structure, pension, incentives, education grants, discounted insurance (car, house, travel) and all the benefits normally associated with an organisation of this calibre. OTE €60-80K

Full Drivers Licence is compulsory for all applicants. Full QFA status or progression towards QFA qualification is desirable. However, full educational support will be provided for approved courses such as QFA. Cornmarket are committed to ensuring all employees fulfil their minimum competency requirements (MCR) as laid down by the Financial Regulator.

This role is a 'controlled function' as defined by the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 Regulations 2011. Any appointment will be conditional on the company being satisfied that the appointee meets the requirements as set out in the Fitness and Probity standards issued by the Central Bank.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Candidates will ideally be of graduate calibre with ambition, ability and willingness to work in a highly sophisticated sales environment
  • Ability to consistently excel in their role as a consultant
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an aptitude to deliver group presentations
  • Ability to work on own initiative and liaise with all levels of management in the company
  • Excellent computer skills and the ability to work with different technologies
  • Can-Do Will-Do attitude with a relentless focus on the customer
