Principal Responsibilities

As Accounts Payable Leader

1.   Building a relationship with the regional business unit management teams and clearly communicating thaccounts payable strategy and operating model

2.   Developing a cohesive AP team through regional leadership over 50 full-time Accounts Payable associates, located throughout the region.

3.   Driving the implementation of the global accounts payable operating model and common policies and processes into EMEA:

·        Deploying standard processes and procedures consistently across the region, including the transition of certain month end closing processes to the R2R teams

·        Work closely with procurement and materials management teams to ensure clear implementation of downstream roles and  responsibilities in the PTP value stream

·        Simultaneously, develop a strategy to build a shared service model for the AP transactional processes in line with current level of capabilities and process maturity and  standardization implementation of Oracle R-12

4.   Providing support development of the overall governance framework and structures related to Accounts Payable to ensure standard process compliance.

5.   Developing and monitoring performance metrics and key indicators, taking corrective actions as appropriate

6.   Being responsible for controls and ensure financial and process compliance. Monitor internal and external audit issues and ensure timely completion of action plans. Provide support as needed for issue closure.


As Finance Partner for Global Procurement

7.   Partner with and provide finance support to the regional Global Procurement leader

·        Act as liaison with local business unit finance teams to better understand impacts of year over year price variances in direct material on their plant P&L’s

·        Support development of forecasts and targets for direct material price variances in regional business unit P&L’sSupport regional global procurement team in the developing their operating expense budgets and tracking of actual expenses

·        Assist Global Finance teams with deployment of allocation methodologies for global procurement related costs

·        Support key risk management initiatives within Global Procurement:

§   Global  metals hedging strategy, partnering with local global procurement and finance teams

§   Key regional contact to enable and deploy supplier risk management initiative

Knowledge/Experience

The successful candidate will have:

·        Finance/Accounting background, MBA preferred

·        Successfully lead a large similar type organization with a proven track record of performance improvement

·        International or cross-regional experience preferred, but not required

·        Experience in driving change and working in a regional multi-sector environment

·        Operational excellence capabilities and vision

·        Understanding of industry standards and best practices, keep current with industry trends, and understand and evaluate complex business functions and processes.

·        10 years of management experience

·        Experience working in a matrix environment. The ability to influence without necessarily having positional power.

·         2.6m invoices processed annually

·         90 Global Procurement associates
