Job description:

The role holder will have various responsibilities across forecasting, analysis and commercial support for the Glanbia Performance Nutrition (GPN) brands.


Principal Accountabilities (not definitive)

  • Produce budget and forecast income statements for GPN EMEA and explain movements and provide commentary on movements from previous forecast and previous year.

  • Produce 3 to 5 yr financial plans including identifying and explaining key drivers / movements / assumptions

  • Provide management with monthly analysis on business performance with commentary.

  • Provide commercial support and insight to GPN EMEA Commercial COGS and Marketing teams across sales and margin performance.

  • Developing and improving forecasting systems and tools on an on-going basis

  • Assisting the Head of FP&A on the on-going development of the FP&A function in EMEA within the finance function and its support of the commercial operations

  • Liaising with US and Group colleagues to ensure that all the global division and group requirements are met

  • Financial modelling and analysis as required


Skills, Know How and experience

  • Degree educated or equivalent as well as being a recently Qualified accountant – ACCA or CIMA

  • Proven 3-5 years’ experience as an analyst within an FP&A function

  • Ability to travel 20% of time when needed

  • In depth knowledge of accounting and financial principles as well as technical accounting skills.

  • Experience of / or exposure to working directly within international markets and across multiple international markets and/or within an FMCG environment an advantage

  • Experience in working and influencing in an environment of rapidly changing workload, tight deadlines, in the context of high client expectations and tight time frames.

  • A self starter who has the ability to work well within a team and across geographical boundaries.

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, good judgement making and logical decision maker.

  • Excellent written and verbal communicator.

  • ‘Can do’ attitude

  • Ability to influence.

  • Intellectually bright, numerate and financially fluent.

  • Proven track record of stakeholder management

  • Proven ability of dealing with ambiguity.

  • SAP and Business Objectives experience an advantage
