This is a dynamic role in MetLife for a motivated Executive Assistant who takes a proactive approach to work and who is happy to deal with a busy and constantly changing diary. Strong Microsoft Powerpoint and Excel skills are essential.

Role Value Proposition: 

MetLife are looking to hire capable, personable and motived Executive Assistant to support the Head of Operations. This is a newly created role here in Dublin.

In this role you will assume typical Executive assistant duties (calendar management, organise international travel, expense management etc) but you will also be expected to take on additional duties. You will be responsible for producing PowerPoint presentations to a standard that can be used in management meetings; you will manipulate data in Excel reports and you will be asked to support some ad hoc projects as required. The Head of Operations has a role that covers many countries across EMEA and in order to succeed in this role you will need to build positive working relationships with many different stakeholders across the business.

This is a dynamic role for a motivated Executive Assistant who takes a proactive approach to work and who is happy to deal with a busy and constantly changing diary. It will suit someone who can learn quickly and  who can prioritize requests on a daily basis.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft reports, distributing in a timely manner ensuring accuracy and professional presentation – this will include PowerPoint, Word, Excel and other documents as required
  • Ensure diaries are accurate and up to date – these are very busy dynamic diaries
  • Organise and manage all travel / itinerary information including contact numbers, addresses, transfer details for all trips, including assistance in the local arrangements for visiting members to the region
  • Expense management and reconciliation
  • Provide ad hoc analysis of reports and coordinate data as required
  • Manage ad-hoc projects
  • Attend and take minutes at meetings as required
  • Other responsibilities required as this list is not exhaustive



Business Experience and Technical Skills: 

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) is essential as you will be expected to produce Powerpoint presentations to a high standard and be capable of manipulating data in Excel
  • Strong Microsoft Outlook/calendar management experience with a proven ability to proactively manage and prioritize requests within a busy/dynamic diary which is subject to constant change on an ongoing basis
  • Someone who takes a proactive approach to work and is able to offer solutions rather than just presenting the problem
  • Previous experience working in a similar role in a large Financial Services/Insurance/Corporate Multinational environment preferable
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with a variety of different stakeholders based within Dublin and other offices in EMEA/Globally
