Location: Dublin




My client is now seeking and Emergency Services Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will ensure the provision of emergency services operate effectively.


Role Responsibilities:


  • Must deliver a quality effective housing led service ensuring the progression of clients
  • Facilitating, developing and implementing participation and development initiatives in line with good practice.
  • Will implement systems and structures within the service
  • Identify required interventions and developing and implementing a support plan while delivering an integrated and seamless continuum of care.
  • Provide a high standard of service ensuring service user satisfaction as it pertains to services and a prompt resolution to complaints.
  • Facilitate and develop relationships with external services
  • Ensure ongoing regular communication between the service and the local community
  • Drive quality standards within services through quality systems and structures, ensuring continuous improvement,
  • Review and audit regularly
  • Ensure high standards of health and safety in the service.
  • Engage meaningfully with all key stakeholders and identify, pursue and deliver collaborations and partnerships.
  • Maintain awareness of developments of new initiatives that enhance the delivery of services through research.
  • Develop, implement, deliver and review strategic and operational projects
  • Actively participate as part the management team to develop innovative responses to strategic requirements.
  • Ensure that work is completed within agreed budget and that all costs are controlled without compromising standards and service delivery.
  • Initiate opportunities to improve cost efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead and manage staff setting clear targets, facilitating effective team dynamics
  • Work with the Senior Managers for Emergency Services and Human Resources
  • Induction and ongoing training of new staff, relief staff, volunteers, graduates etc.
  • Carry out all relevant administration.
  • Identify training needs with your line manager and participate in training opportunities appropriate to the role
  • Undertake other ADHOC duties as may be requested by the line manager from time to time



Skills and Experience Required:


  • Must have a 3rd level qualification to degree level in a relevant discipline along with managerial experience.
  • Must have a min 2 years' experience in homeless services and working with vulnerable and disadvantaged groups.
  • Experience working in a residential homeless service setting.
  • Must be a good problem solver and decision Maker
  • Experience in Finance
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Must have leadership, people management and supervision skills/ experience.
  • Planning and Project management skills
  • Report writing skills
