Overview

Demand planning is to provide Kerry with 'one set of numbers' driving the business. To generate a monthly forecast for a portfolio of products through a combination of statistical analysis, gathering of market intelligence and engagement with customers/commercial on understanding and forecasting future demand. Review orders received versus forecast and understand where orders not received. The demand planner plays a critical role in facilitating the communication between the commercial team, finance and the supply chain. The demand planner is also tasked with securing a demand consensus as part of the monthly process.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the role are summarized below and are subject to change according to business needs:

  • Generate a monthly consensus Forecasts of all product categories at multiple levels of aggregation at a planning horizon of 18 months.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities in cooperation with commercial managers, and Finance to ensure a coherent forecasting plan reconciling significant variances and reflecting updated trends in the market.
  • Provide timely, accurate and insightful analysis and commentary on trends and patterns to support commercial and finance.
  • Provide input to Supply Planning in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-in/outs
  • Work closely with Finance to understand how volume forecast translates in value terms.
  • Review Forecast Accuracy and Bias results, where necessary carry out root cause analysis and provide recommendations to future forecasts.
  • Manage the monthly demand reconciliation review reporting on the relevant KPIs, assumptions and risks contained in the demand plan.
  • Be intrinsically part of the NPI process managing the integrity of data on the system.

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Candidate will be qualified to degree level and have at least 1+ Years Professional/Industry experience
  • Familiar with forecasting and planning methodologies is desirable.
  • Have a strong commercial and market understanding
  • Customer orientation and marked Commercial skills
  • SAP experience desirable
  • Experience in an FMCG environment desirable
  • Strong excel skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
