We are currently recruiting for a number of permanent and contract positions for Process Chemists

Duties & responsibilities:

- The incumbent provides technical support and expertise to both existing processes and development of new processes. Provides support to the introduction / transfer of processes / technologies to and from Ballydine as well as process support for existing in-line products
- Ensure that process development is in compliance with the filed regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical process support to manufacturing operations through process maintenance, troubleshooting and process development.
- Support the documenting of planned changes to the process through change requests and laboratory work where appropriate.
- As required, generate validation documentation (protocols/plans/completion reports) and assist in the management of the process validation.
- Provide technical support and expertise to production during processing. This involves monitoring of key campaign parameters (yield/quality) and taking appropriate action where necessary. This involves making real time technical assessments and determining the path forward when deviations occur, documenting the root cause investigation, the quality/ regulatory/validation/yield assessment.
- Assist in the preparation of the cleaning validation documentation & cleaning keys.

Support the development objectives for the assigned process; identify improvement opportunities and where appropriate liaise with manufacturing during the development and implementation phases of change.



- The successful candidate will have a PhD in Organic Chemistry or a minimum of BSc (2.1) with relevant experience, and will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- The ability to co-ordinate and plan technical based projects is an advantage.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills with a proven track record of working in cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams, combined with the ability to share technical knowledge with a range of personnel (chemists, analysts, engineers, team leaders) are essential for this role.
