Experienced Change Manager sought to support transformation programme at daa.


As an organisation we need to engage with our employees to better deliver new ways of working in a collaborative manner. To support these new ways of working the role of Change Manager has been created and will be responsible for managing projects and supporting change management including project delivery, planning and implementation, monitoring progress, staff engagement, communications and training.


Key Responsbilities

  • Experienced Change Manager with a track record of supporting and enabling the delivery of complex people, process and technology change in a transformation environment

  • Responsible for the development of a Change Framework for daa to be used as a standard for supporting the delivery of change on the ground across a portfolio of projects

  • Support in the establishment of an in-house PMO (Approach / Governance / Tool Kit / Support Model)

  • Working with the Senior Team to develop a change approach and supporting Project Managers to affect change on the ground through developing approaches to engage with and align our staff to the change initiatives

  • Supporting the Head of Transformation to build an in-house change management awareness and capability through mentoring the in-house program team (Project Managers)

  • Work closely with the Better Together Workstream Leads to understand change management requirements emerging from change initiatives, and their associated impact on key stakeholders

  • Identify risks and issues related to Change Management activities for projects, and escalate through the Transformation Team as appropriate

  • Implement and ensure compliance with associated principles, templates, sample plans and guidance to effectively deliver communications for individual projects

  • Provide assurance on the quality and use of change management deliverables, e.g. training & communication plans, business readiness assessments, both ad-hoc and through formal project delivery processes

  • Develop a close working relationship with key stakeholders to drive engagement with and participation in change and transition programmes across daa

  • Support the wider business in developing an understanding of change management tools, methods and standards, including practical application of these in projects.

  • Perform other duties as required from time to time


Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Third level degree in business, communications or similar ideally with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in a Project Management/Change Management role in an organisation of similar size and complexity to daa.

  • Project management qualification e.g. Prince 2 or PMI, would be an advantage.

  • Experience in large-scale change or stakeholder management initiatives; including change management or project management principles and approaches.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability and ability to effectively plan, resource and drive outcomes working with a multitude of stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to build close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and influence decision making /drive buy-in to and ownership of initiatives

  • Proven ability to:

    • Analyse complex change business problems and to develop appropriate solutions;

    • Work effectively at multiple levels in an organisation

    • Focus on predefined goals and deliver results

    • Strong analytical skills

    • Polished presenter with strong verbal and written communication skills and good strategic thinking
