Business Test Analyst Production Support

 

The Role
The Business and Test Analyst role, reports to the Production Support Lead and will have responsibility for resolving system and business problems relating to production systems by assessing issues raised, developing solutions, testing and implementing into Production.

The emphasis on this role is supporting internal and external Business Customers, users of live production systems, to ensure user’s issues experienced in production systems and notified to IT via the Service Desk are fully assessed and resolved in a timely manner.

The Business /Test Analyst role includes ownership and responsibility for:
Triage/ issue assessment, designing solutions, Lifecycle Testing and Quality Assurance

Key Accountabilities
-Performing Business and Test analysis as required to support Production Support objectives and project support as required
-Working closely with the Business team triage and assessment process to define the defect and or solution to a detailed level, sufficient to handover to the development teams / ZurichIT delivery partners
-Maintaining good knowledge of the industry trends (on both functional and software levels)
-Defining test approach for product definition and business operating model for business requirements
-Where appropriate advising on and inputting to the design of test strategies for business and technical solutions in order support user test acceptance and aid in the improvement and the efficiency of the business model
-Innovation and flexibility/adaptability in approach to work and working hours are key performance indicators
-Delivering a high quality service to internal and external Business and IT stakeholders

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Triage and assessment to a level of detail sufficient to support business sign-off and technical design
-Where appropriate full Lifecycle testing, aligned with business appetite for risk, from testing of business needs, through to system test, integration testing, UAT, pre-production testing and supporting the implementation
-Proven business analysis and test skills with a strong IT and business background
-An excellent working knowledge of the Zurich IT landscape and Policy Administrations platforms, Life400 or ZLIFE platforms
-Support and maintenance of Life400 production functionality and table configuration
-An excellent working knowledge of Zurich business and IT processes.
-Impact analysis to determine root cause of issues in order to drive issue resolution
-Support and scheduling of batch processing
-Out of hours support to meet the needs of the Business/ User community and IT initiatives

Skills and Experience
Technical Competencies:
-At least 10+ year’s experience within IT and /or related business units;
-In depth knowledge of the IT landscape including but not limited to Web , ECM, PC Applications, Life400 and ZLiFE Policy Administration Platforms
-Thorough and proven knowledge of Production Support best practice and working with internal delivery partners and third parties
-Proven experience working within the ZPMF model
-Extensive experience working with multiple disciplined stakeholders
-Ability to handle large volumes of work and detailed technical business issues
-Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
-Excellent knowledge of all business areas and their internal and external operating environment
-High awareness of external IT marketplace and technology developments;
-Knowledge of relevant industry practices & regulation

-Flexible, proactive and focused in all aspects of approach to work
-Analytical and technically minded with a proven ability in troubleshooting and technical problem solving (innovative)
-Enjoy working within a team and be capable of working under own initiative
-Fluency in Italian would be an advantage
