Business Enablement Manager

 

Background on Role:

The management of mortgage arrears is a key priority for the Group and is the responsibility of the Mortgage Arrears Resolution Strategy Business Unit (MARS) within the Retail Ireland Division.

Within MARS, the Mortgage Collections Strategy, Policy and Implementation Group is tasked with developing and implementing the Group’s approach to Mortgage Arrears and Personal Insolvency Legislation.

The Collections Strategies Unit (CSU) is a unit within this group that operates under the direction of MARS Leadership to ensure that new/enhanced Collections Strategies are successfully embedded into BAU operations. These Collections Strategies are a range of tactics and techniques, differentiated by customer segments and behaviours, designed to achieve the appropriate resolution of arrears cases.

In order to ensure speedy and effective deployment of these collections strategies, the Collections Strategies Unit are seeking to appoint suitably qualified individuals to the role of Business Enablement Managers.

This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills and will appeal to individuals who enjoy new challenges, can work in a fast paced, multi-faceted role and who have the energy and drive to excel in a high profile, critically important area.

 Key Repsonsibilities:

  • Engage with appropriate operational units to understand the ‘as is’ state and the planned strategies enhancements
  • Ongoing analysis of ‘as is’ strategies to identify and develop new/enhanced strategies to maximise operational effectiveness
  • Identifying the operational impact of new/enhanced strategies.
  • Ensure appropriate tasks an activities that support BAU readiness are undertaken in a timel manner as part of the enablement process e.g. resource scoping and planning, scoping IT requirements, identifying communications, training & development needs.
  • Working closely with operational units, ensure that agreed new and enhanced strategies are embedded into the operational areas with minimal impact on BAUTracking the performance of implemented collections strategies to ensure that expected benefits are realised

Essential Key Requirements:

  • Ability to quickly establish professional credibility and influence within the MARS unit 
  • A proven track record in leadership, influencing outcomes and delivering results is essential.
  • Capacity to assess the impact of new strategies and initiatives on the operational units and to articulate those impacts
  • Ability to analyse and interpret broad credit, legal and asset management issues that will arise from time to time and their impact on future state implementation.
  • Capacity to articulate and gain support for alternative approaches that deliver the same or superior outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 Desirable Key Requirements

  • Experience of operations and the implementation of strategic change programmes would be extremely beneficial.
  • Programming experience
  • Database design / Super excel user
