Our Client is a leading Irish owned and valued Added Distributor specializing in IT Infrastructure Connectivity Solutions. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an ambitious Business Development/Sales Executive. This is a great opportunity for several reasons:

    Why this company and the opportunity?

    I cannot speak highly enough of the CEO- people rarely leave the Company=in fact, I know one the Managers quite well- he was headhunted 5 years ago; joined another organisation only to return 2 years later because he really liked the CEO and the company and how they operated!

    There are 25 employees in the company yet ,they have an established and reputable name is their own sector with some established Partners and client base. In this role, they are looking for someone who has the drive; ambition to leverage off existing clients and to drive business within the electrical contractor space. The Sales Manager- who is fair and supportive will give you a lot of autonomy and you will be given a lot of scope to put your own stamp on the position. A defined career path is on offer with the opportunity to earn strong commission!

    For this role, you must have at least 2-3 years proven technical sales experience within the Electrical Contractor sector in the B2B sector.

    Key Responsibilities
    Achievement of account and sector specific targets

    • Responsible for contribution towards target within region through all the electrical contractor space and to build on existing relationships and cross sell when required.
    • Creating and maintaining strong working relationships with all customers
    • Exceeding individual targets and key performance indicators
    • Creating and executing a sales growth strategy balancing the different needs of the channels of trade with the delivery of stretching growth targets.
    • Developing and implementing a regular visit schedule for all customers
    • Business meeting skills
    • Demonstrate a high level of planning and preparation for all face to face meetings
    • Present clear and compelling propositions to all customers through well-structured meetings
    • Gain an understanding of the key drivers for each channel of trade and customer and tailor commercial proposals and solutions to exceed these needs
    • Deliver effective sales presentations using a variety of formats


    Fulfil other duties as required

    • Identify problems and find solutions
    • As new product ranges enter the Professional remit adapt working practices to deliver fantastic results

    The ideal candidate will have:

    Education: Degree in Business and/or Electrical/Technical discipline

    preferable.

    Experience: 2-3 years' experience in a Business Development or Senior Sales position preferable.

    Excellent relationship building skills

    • Track record of innovation and problem solving
    • Excellent journey planning skills
    • History of exceeding sales targets
