The Business Analyst is responsible for defining and documenting the business requirements; UAT test cases & scripts; roll-out of training to business and general day to day delivery of projects in support of customer and/or internal business requirements.

 

The Business Analyst is responsible for defining and documenting the business requirements; UAT test cases & scripts; roll-out of training to business and general day to day delivery of projects in support of customer and/or internal business requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Manager in planning activities and provide input to the planning phase of assigned projects.
  • Work closely with business experts to complete initial gap analysis, identify gaps and propose best solutions to meet business needs.
  • Interpret requirements to develop and agree robust solutions for presentation and approval of senior internal and external stakeholders;
  • Document Business Requirements and obtain sign off from business stakeholders.
  • Drive the creation of UAT test cases and scripts;
  • Support UAT and act as the liaison between the business and IT ;
  • Develop Training materials and train users accordingly;
  • Ensure that there is open and accurate communication flow between the project, business and IT  teams throughout the change delivery lifecycle;
  • Raise risks and issues with the Project Manager and monitor progress through to resolution. Maintain Risk and Issue logs as required.
  • Provide post-implementation support to the business and ensure handover is documented and agreed.
  • Report, monitor and evidence project metrics as requested;
  • Support Project Managers in the delivery of significant portfolio of change deliverables which impact the monthly Programmes and Change CSL;
  • Other responsibilities assigned as required.

Experience:

  • Significant years experience in a project environment in a BA capacity;
  • Banking & Finance Industry experience desirable;
  • Experience working within financial services out sourcing environment is highly desirable but not essential
  • Experience working to deliver change related service levels is highly desirable but not essential.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with SMEs and stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing and diplomacy skills are required to deal with colleagues and customers at all levels
  • Intuitive, a self starter and comfortable acting on own accord – ability to make decisions and work with a limited amount of supervision;
  • A quick learner who can rapidly understand complex subject matter, identify opportunities / challenges and develop appropriate solutions to meet requirements;
  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral), demonstrating the proven ability to deliver clear and actionable messages to all levels of the organisation;
  • Understanding and exposure to project and change lifecycle, management disciplines, standards and processes;
  • Strategic, banking, and system skills as well as an ability to quickly get up to speed on specific technical knowledge;
  • Understands the benefits and risk mitigants inherent in the change process and can effectively adapt methodology/governance deployed on a case by case basis;
  • Well organised, acts as a team player and has strong time management skills;

Proficient in using MS Office package applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Visio, etc).
