Associate Operations Analyst – eDG Content Management

Job Overview:
We are looking for a Web Content Management resource to do website content entry and maintenance within the OpenText content management system (formerly Vignette), to assist with regression testing and to provide some tier 2 support for the system.  Prior experience with HTML/CSS is necessary.

The candidate will support eDG (e-Business Development Group) in Newark, NJ, USA.

The resource will be responsible for completing the assigned tasks and providing follow-up comments as needed, either by email, telephone and/or tracking system.

Based on the needs of eDG, the resource may  be required to:
• Collaborate with a range of project stakeholders including developers, design teams, project managers, business analysts, copywriters and customers to discuss project execution strategies.
• Participate in project meetings via conference calls.
• Add and update the content of websites via the content management system using HTML, adhering to web standards and best practice.
• Regression test site updates made by the development team during scheduled code moves.
• Write technical documentation for website end-users.

This person would be working 1 pm to 9 pm (Monday to Friday) and follow the US holiday schedule.

Position Requirement:

Responsibilities:
• Provide tier 2 technical support to the Department.
• Monitor in-boxes and issue tracking interface and coordinate and provide appropriate responses to our customers and/or business partners.
• Assist and coordinate the test planning, coordinate test script development and execution of user acceptance testing - includes drafting test volunteers
• Coordinate and draft for distribution any communication updates needed about production to business partners.
• Project manage small to medium projects
• Other duties as required by the business.

Skills, Education and Qualifications:
• Proven strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, ability to follow instructions, positive attitude (must provide proof of writing ability with instructional as well as client communications)
• Rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities
• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities
• Strategic, operational and technical management skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project
• Self-starter with the desire to grow and excel in a dynamic environment
• Consistent problem-solving ability with acute attention to detail
• At least 1 to 2 years' of customer care experience.
• At least 1 to 2 years' experience with effective problem solving.
• 1 - 2 years successful technical call center support – tier 1.
• BA/BS or equivalent experience desirable
• Exceptional organizational skills with effective follow up and follow through.
• Ability to estimate effort required to complete tasks and provide status reports to relevant parties.
• Ability to foresee and raise potential issues in projects.
• Self-starter with the ability to work on a one-person project in addition to working effectively within a multi-person project.
• Ability to remain focused while working independently

Required Technical Skills:
1. Experience with HTML and CSS. Some exposure to JavaScript and Flash would be a plus.
2. Experience with a content management system would be beneficial (Opentext/Vignette) and knowledge of the enterprise content management (ECM) industry.
3. Experience in cross-browser support (Microsoft Internet Explorer v 6-9; Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome)
4. Working within a staged web development environment.
5. Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
6. Technical communication skills for writing user documentation, training manuals and training end-users. Ability to write clear, concise prose.
7. Project management in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
8. Work effectively within a cross-departmental team.
