This person will work within the tax services group which is responsible for the growth and delivery of European tax services. The role will be based primarily out of our Kilkenny office. The person will work with all SSIIL clients and comprising a complex suite of investment funds.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the timely delivery of comprehensive tax services (Investment Taxes and Investor Tax Reporting) to a diverse client base within the appropriate quality standards.
  • Work with senior management on identifying and reducing tax risks associated with servicing investment funds.
  • Ensure appropriate processes and controls are in place and continually monitored for improvement.
  • Monitor and report on tax deliverables within the tax team and operations groups.
  • Participate in specific working groups on the development of products.
  • Deal with clients and internal business groups on ad-hoc tax issues
  • Work on tax projects as directed by senior management.
  • Work with global tax teams and operations groups on implementing tax changes.
  • Provide oversight and monitor tax developments.


  • Keep up-to-date with European and international tax rules on investor tax reporting and custody tax issues.
  • Identify any gaps on tax systems and work with business processes group on system developments.
  • Assist business groups on local tax compliance requirements.
  • Deal with clients on ad-hoc tax queries.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

  • Ability to develop relationships at all management levels both internally and with external customers
  • Strong problem resolution and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
