Assistant Quality and Business Improvement Manager

 

Assistant Quality & Business Improvement Manager – Limerick(12 - 18mth Contract)

 Chesapeake is a leading supplier of pharmaceutical and healthcare packaging solutions.

An opportunity has arisen at the Limerick site for a Quality professional.  As part of the existing quality team, this new role will focus on emerging projects and integrating business improvement and best practice, with a focus on quality to improve the business by raising standards and reducing overall operating costs

 Key accountabilities of the role include;

 Quality

 

  • Maintain, and ensure conformance to, ISO9001:2000 and PS9000:2001.
  • Review the quality system as appropriate to ensure full compliance with customer andChesapeakebest practice guidelines and maximize effectiveness of production.
  • Initiate and control robust investigations to provide corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and support the complaints handling process and participate in implementing improvement actions to prevent re-occurring issues.
  • Analyse faults and complaints to improve quality control to implement preventative actions to minimise cost of quality
  • Support internal audits
  • Provide cover for the Quality Manager role as appropriate

 

Business Improvement

 

  • Lead improvements to enhance quality system and ensure optimum process in place to meet customer specifications whilst maximising production
  • Review amendments to standards and ensure compliance with accreditation bodies
  • Support introduction of new equipment on site and lead validation processes to meet site and customer expectations
  • Contribute ideas and participate in ongoing business improvement initiatives to reduce overall operating costs, improve margin and provide input into the strategy and operations of theLimericksite.

 

The ideal candidate will be of Graduate calibre, and have 3 - 5 years experience within a Quality role at a senior or management level.  He/She must have a proven track record in leading change and implementing continuous improvement processes.   Indepth knowledge and experience of industry accreditation standards (eg. ISO / Good Manufacturing Practice / Pharmaceutical Code of Practice) is essential.
