Mothercare Ireland currently have a vacancy for an exceptional Assistant Retail Manager in Limerick. You will play a pivotal role in driving a high performance, service orientated team culture. While driving all key business metrics to grow profit and sales.

 

Mothercare Ireland, the largest retailer of nursery and childcare products in the country currently have a vacancy for an experienced Assistant Retail Manager. Mothercare established in 1992 in Ireland currently have 15 stores nationwide, employing approx 250 people. Our aim at Mothercare is to meet the needs and aspirations that parents have for their children. Mothercare has a reputation for specialism, quality, safety and innovation in providing products and services for mothers, fathers, mothers-to-be, babies and young children.

We currently have a full time permanent position for an Assistant Retail Manager in our Store in the Crecent Shopping Centre. There may be a requirement, depending on business needs to travel outside of Limerick from time to time.

Some of the key responsibilities:

  • Assist Store Manager to maximise store sales and acheive store KPI's.
  • Adherence to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Implement Company standards regarding visual merchandising, promotional activities and stock control.
  • Coach and develop sales team in the delivery of exceptional Customer Service and Retailing.
  • Assist with store recruitment processes, in line with Mothercare procedure and best practise recruit methods.
  • Manage all aspects of Health and Safety, ensure store complies with all legislation and regulation in this area.
  • Ensure full compliance with all Trading Standards and legal obligations are met.
  • Manage day to day banking reconciliations, safe checks, coin order, end of period reporting.
  • Review, analyse and manage all aspects of locally controlled costs within budget.

Knowledge and Skills required for the role:

  • Proven track record in Retail Management, including achievement of sales and key business targets.
  • Detailed knowledge of retail industry.
  • Commercial and business acumen.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Proficient in the use of full microsoft suite.
