Description

Fitzers Catering are currently seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced individual for the Hospitality Department of the Convention Centre Dublin;

 

Primary Objective

Provides leadership and strategic guidance for operational & administrative staff within the Convention Centre Dublin to ensure Fitzers Catering standards are achieved and maintained for every event at the Convention Centre Dublin.  

Ensures excellent communication between Fitzers Catering Head Office , The General Manager and the Catering Director at the CCD

 

Duties

  • To work in conjunction with the Fitzers Executive Team  for the provision of excellent and efficient service to all catered events at the CCD
  • Crucial link between the CCD Catering Director , General Manager and  the Venue
  • Assist with the overall responsibility for managing the catering departments within the CCD with the General Manager.
  • Assists General Manager in setting/developing budgets with Financial Controller.
  • Responsibility for management of GPs and Wage Budgets on a weekly basis in conjunction with the General Manager.
  • Develops and implements succession planning, whilst managing the performance, training, and development of whole team
  • Responsibility for achieving Sales targets as outlined by Fitzers Catering.
  • Devising Sales and Marketing Plans with the General Manager to ensure sales targets are monitored and achieved.
  • Assist with the driving Health & Safety and Environmental aspects of the venue.
  • Ensure company policy and procedures and Sop’s, are in place, reviewed and improved.
  • Ensure compliance in all statutory requirements of Employment Legislation and Licensing.
  • Ensure that KPI’s of the contract are achieved in all areas.
  • In General Managers absence, be responsible for General Manager Duties.
  • Any other duties as required.

 

Pre-requisites

-          Previous banqueting experience in Irish / International markets

-          Strong experience in conferencing both on Irish and International markets.

-          Proven leadership skills

-          Ability to manage, develop and motivate a dynamic catering sales & operations team.

-          Payroll & Revenue management essential

-          Experience of Financial\Budgets planning & forecasting is essential.

-          Excellent communication & presentation skills

-          A third level qualification in Catering Management desirable

-          A knowledge of catering sales an advantage
