Description

The Applications Engineer will join our existing team working from our manufacturing facility in Killarney and will be responsible for managing customer inquiries from the initial inquiry stage through the quotation / tender submittal to technical and commercial contract award.

The Applications Engineer will join our existing team working from our manufacturing facility in Killarney and will be responsible for managing customer inquiries from the initial inquiry stage through the quotation / tender submittal to technical and commercial contract award.

 

  • Reviewing and managing multiple tender documents/specifications requests received from international clients, completing applications sizing and recommending a suitable Filtration product.
  • Preparing product designs to international design codes and customer specifications.
  • Liaising with subcontractors/suppliers located throughout the world to obtain costs for each component of the product design.
  • Preparation of fabrication documentation to enable equipment to be manufactured.
  • Preparing detailed Technical and Commercial Quotations for submission to the client.
  • Liaising with clients on product/bid clarifications up to the point of order placement, some international travel will be required to attend these presentations.
  • Liaising with the Project Engineers to ensure the successful completion of the contract.

 

You will have gained experience within an internal sales or application engineering role working for a process equipment manufacturing and ideally have had exposure to the major international Oil & Gas companies. You will be qualified to degree level in a mechanical engineering discipline or have a proven career within a similar role and have gained experience of reviewing specifications and data sheets to provide sizing and design solutions and have the ability to negotiate costs with suppliers and sub-contractors. It would be beneficial but not essential if you have knowledge of design codes; Pressure Vessels, ASME, CE Marking, ATEX.
