About the job:

The successful candidate will join a global team that delivers bespoke operational processes and technology solutions for Middle Office portfolio and regulatory reporting.

Key Duties:

  • ensure that transactions, security masters, corporate actions and prices are loaded into our portfolio accounting systems in a timely and accurate manner;

  • deliver specific daily, weekly and monthly performance and risk reports to external clients;

  • Daily processing of transactions for a portfolio of investment funds and preparation of reconciliations.

  • prepare and deliver regulatory tasks such as Annex IV filings, UCITS & EMIR reporting.

  • active involvement in projects aimed at the continued improvement of operational efficiency for Maples Fund Services;

  • involvement in internal and external client relationships in relation to services provided by the Data Management and Middle Office teams

Operations:

  • ensuring client specific trades, prices, corporate actions, security master reference data, and reconciliations are loaded and run in the relevant systems in a timely and accurate manner;

  • globally managing use of systems with goal of optimal efficiency,

  • preparing and reviewing client deliverables including performance, risk and regulatory reporting

  • reporting business issues to the AVPs or VPs

Project Execution

  • liaison with AVPs or VPs in the project , execution and roll-out for the continued improvement of operational efficiency and control; and

  • working with the Information Technology team, to resolve issues and developing bespoke client solutions; and

  • participating in defining project specifications and roll-out of reengineered processes.

Client Work and Client Service

  • assisting with the daily operations and client delivery; and

  • gathering client requirements and reporting to AVPs or VPs for any further considerations.

Skills and experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Business or Accounting and/or a related field or a professional accounting designation;

  • a minimum of 1 years’ experience in accounting, back or middle office operations with a fund service provider;

  • a solid understanding of investments;

  • excellent communication skills coupled with strong problem solving skills and an analytical approach to issue resolution;

  • advanced excel skills is preferred;

  • experience with Advent Geneva is preferred;

  • an understanding of Annex IV & UCITS reporting is preferred.

Remuneration

We offer a supportive environment, structured on a team basis.  Benefits include four weeks vacation (pro-rated for part years) and health insurance.  Salary will reflect qualifications and experience.
