The role: Acquisition Manager (UK/Ireland)

Businesses that partner with Google come in all shapes, sizes and market caps, and no one Google advertising solution works for all. Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing business grows. You leverage your entrepreneurial drive to target, educate and persuade new customers to embrace Google's latest advertising products and technologies. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, understand the details of individual campaigns and persistently explore and uncover the business needs of your key clients. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop jointly with local sales teams and advertising agencies an acquisition strategy for new strategic medium-sized clients.
  • Acquire new strategic medium-sized clients via efficient internal/external lead sourcing (cross-departmental collaboration with marketing, networking, tradeshows and online research).
  • Approach prospects with tailored presentations and industry data to set campaign targets aligned with account management teams. Client meetings will be performed over the phone and face to face.
  • Organise seminars and identify relevant speaker opportunities and attend trade shows in the UK market.

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in acquisition sales, strategic sales and developing of new revenue streams; in an online agency, media company, or an online business.
  • Experience in customer facing commercial activity. Proven track record of successful sales or online work experience (media or online business environment). Online agency experience.
