Sous Chef- Donegal based prestigious hotel - €40k salary - Must have 2 years' experience as a Sous Chef minimum -

 

Job Overview

Outstanding opportunity to join one of Ireland's most prestigious hotel properties. Responsible for all aspects of managing and leading the kitchen and kitchen personnel, ensuring the quality preparation of all menu items and proper handling/storage of all food items in accordance with standards. Coordinates the purchase of all food and menu development, maintaining approved food and labor costs.

€40k salary and assistance with accommodation provided

Minimum Requirements

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent vocational training certificate.
  • Culinary College Degree.
  • Previous Management/Supervisory experience.
  • 3 years experience in a Culinary Leadership role at a 4 or 5 star Hotel.
  • 1-2 years' experience as a Sous Chef in a 4/5 star Hotel or 3 years' experience as a Senior Chef De Partie at a 4 star hotel
  • Food handling certificate.
  • Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding.
  • Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to provide legible communication.
  • Knowledge of food cost controls.
  • Ability to work under pressure.

Desirable

Management of HACCP Certification.
