James Kelliher of Kelliher O’Shea, Chartered Accountants is recruiting for a Financial Controller for a busy motor dealership in Kerry.

 

FINANCIAL CONTROLLER – KERRY-BASED MOTOR DEALERSHIP – FULL TIME POSITION

McElligott’s Tralee Ltd, is one of Munster’s Leading Motor Dealerships in business for over 70 years.  The company represents Honda, Kia, Land Rover and Mercedes Benz and are seeking to recruit a Financial Controller.  The position will report directly to senior management to provide high level financial insight and support in order to maximise business performance and profitability.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the finance function and supervision of administration staff
  • Preparing budgets and forecasts
  • Preparing monthly management accounts
  • Reviewing and monitoring performance between actuals versus budget and prior year
  • Management of day to day banking and working capital facilities
  • To ensure compliance with Franchise Standards, Taxation, HR, and other Statutory requirements
  • Management of the annual audit
  • Liaise with the company’s IT and systems providers
  • Ensure financial and commercial information flow is communicated efficiently to maximise business performance
  • Evaluate, challenge, support and influence commercial strategies, initiatives and proposals

The ideal candidate:

  • A Qualified Accountant who trained at a top tier accountancy firm
  • Three years post qualification experience (some level of industry experience preferred)
  • Highly motivated individual with a mix of financial technical ability & commercial awareness
  • Proven experience for completion of deliverables to meet agreed reporting timelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong MS Office skills and general IT knowledge
