Role      

We are currently seeking to hire an employment law solicitor for a permanent opportunity, based in Dublin.

Candidates should have 1-2 years’ post qualification experience ideally in employment law or general litigation with employment law mix. 

The focus will be employment law and immigration however previous immigration expertise is not required as we will train the successful candidate if needed.

Candidates should have excellent communication skills with a proven track record of delivery of high quality work.

Team:

KPMG’s Employment law and Immigration unit is a dedicated division within Legal Services, offering practical legal advice on areas of employment law and immigration. The unit forms part of a multidisciplinary team within KPMG, including tax professionals who advise on a broad range of employee-related taxation and social security issues, and professionals who are experienced in executive and employee share incentive schemes, and recruitment advisors. The unit provides legal advice on all Irish and European legislation relating to or affecting the employment relationship, and generally provides advice in the following areas:

  • Employment contracts and handbooks
  • Unfair dismissals, disciplinary and grievance matters 
  • Restructuring and redundancies
  • Transfer of undertakings
  • Employment permits and visa requirements
  • Atypical workers (part-time, fixed-term etc.)
  • Equality and discrimination in the workplace
  • Health and safety issues relating to stress, bullying and harassment
  • Employee privacy and data protection
  • Employee benefit and incentive schemes
  • Organisation of working time and protective leave
