My client, a large Irish plc based in Dublin North is seeking a Group Tax Analyst for a permanent role.

 

My client, a large Irish plc based in Dublin North is seeking a Group Tax Analyst for a permanent role.

The successful candidate will support the Group Tax Function and will report to the Group Tax Manager.

Job Description:

  • Tax support for all business units to ensure that any tax queries are dealt with in a timely manner and no opportunities for tax savings are missed
  • Researching, documenting and providing tax advice to decision makers on the tax implications of key transactions and investment decisions
  • Assisting Group Tax team with the identification and implementation of strategic tax planning opportunities
  • Tax support for the groups expanding international business units and projects
  • Research tax legislation, case law and practice as required
  • Ensuring the business is aware of changes in tax legislation, Budget Day changes, tax practices etc as it affects their business unit
  • Support for tax queries arising from the SSC across all of the tax heads (VAT, PAYE, RCT & PSWT)
  • Preparation of year end corporation tax computations for the group including 3rd party returns
  • Accounting for year-end tax charges including deferred tax. This will include being a key point of contact for the audit and tax team members
  • Preparation of supporting schedules for tax reconciliation notes and disclosures in the Financial Statements
  • Review of corporation tax estimates included in budgets and forecasts
  • Assisting Group Tax team with identifying transfer pricing requirements and ensuring compliance in relation to same

 

Requirements:

  • Recently qualified with a recognised tax qualification. An accounting qualification is also beneficial
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate complex tax issues to senior executives and key stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work to deadlines
  • Strong analytical and influencing skills
  • Strong tax technical skills
  • Self-starter with leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills
