Responsibilities

-Effective management of a claims team to ensure company objectives are achieved which include "Clear to Zero", personal & team targets, quality and cost containment
-Distribute and monitor the team`s daily workload to facilitate
1.Effective claims processing
2.The attainment of individual and group productivity
3.The consistent quality of claims adjudication, thereby ensuring release limit attainment
-Carry out individual performance management in order to maintain and improve productivity, quality and decline rate levels
-Assume a proactive and positive approach to the handling of complaints and escalated issues, in line with established protocols, ensuring effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
-Identify and implement system and process enhancement ideas to maximise productivity and improve the quality of adjudication decisions
-Instil an atmosphere of positive and open communication to foster employee engagement and lead by example
-Effective succession planning to ensure operational success and employee development & retention
-Verify and release high value claims to ensure accurate processing and client satisfaction
-Deputise for Supervisor, as operationally required
-Follow company Performance Management and Development policies
-Undertake other Ad Hoc duties as required

Requirements:

-People management experience
-Knowledge of Medical Terminology
-Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
-Completion or progression towards the Diploma in Private Medical Insurance.
