“I’ve no idea who else you are interviewing, so I can’t say whether I am the ‘best’ applicant. However, I can tell you that I will quickly integrate into the team and provide immediate results as I did with my previous company. For example, during my first quarter with ACME Electrics, I was the top-ranked salesperson, where I used my knowledge of the industry to increase the brand’s client base by 25%.”

With this answer, you begin with modesty before showcasing an acceptable level of confidence. You then briefly outline an excellent sales record while also showing that the company won’t suffer due to a bedding-in period.
