Founded in 1898, The Institute of Bankers in Ireland is the professional education body for bankers and financial services practitioners in Ireland. It is a ‘not for profit’ centre of excellence dedicated to serving its 33,000 members, 50 corporate members and society at large. It is also one of the oldest and most respected banking institutes in the world whose mission is to enhance the knowledge and skills of those working in banking and financial services.
The Institute of Bankers in Ireland is a recognised college of University College Dublin. For 2011|2012, the Institute's School of Professional Finance offers a comprehensive portfolio of Financial Services programmes ranging from Professional Certificate (Level 7 of the National Framework of Qualifications) to Masters (Level 9). Each School of Professional Finance programme leads to an academic award from UCD. In addition, many programmes lead to Professional accreditations such as Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA), Licentiate of the Institute of Bankers (LIB) and Chartered Banker designation. Finally, several programmes also satisfy the minimum competency requirements of the Central Bank of Ireland.
We work with our strategic partner UCD to combine the best of banking and financial service practice with the highest educational standards. |
