The Irish Institute of Purchasing and Materials Management (IIPMM) was formed over thirty-five years ago to promote the purchasing and supply profession through education and training. The Institute’s aim is to promote excellence in all aspects of purchasing and supply management in both the public and private sectors. It is a not-for-profit, non-commercial organisation that is managed and controlled by its members.

The IIPMM promotes a number of initiatives that contributes directly to the Irish economy. Since 2008 the Institute has been successfully securing Skillnet funding and promoting the Procurement and Supply Management Skillnet network. Thanks to this initiative the IIPMM’s Education and Training Programmes are heavily subsidised. Moreover IIPMM has just been awarded a Springboard funding. Springboard is an initiative, managed by the Higher Education Authority on behalf of the Department of Education and Science, under which certain classes of unemployed persons can pursue a course of higher education and training on a part-time basis in an area of current or future skills need. Therefore if you are a job seeker, you can avail of a full scholarship on the selected IIPMM programmes.

The Institute offers HETAC accredited Education Programmes and hosts one or two day Focused Skills Training seminars and other events throughout the year to keep the procurement professionals in touch with latest thinking in Purchasing and Supply Management.
