Who we are
Welcome to St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, part of the St. Vincent’s Healthcare Group, which also includes St. Vincent’s University Hospital and St. Michael’s Hospital. The healthcare group is owned by the Religious Sisters of Charity, who founded the University Hospital in 1834, and is a registered charity and a not-for-profit organisation.
St. Vincent’s Private Hospital opened in 1974, and we moved into this state-of-the-art building in November 2010. Architecturally innovative and designed to meet the highest international healthcare standards, our hospital provides a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff and visitors. We are unique amongst care providers in Ireland, having a co-located public and private hospital at a single campus.
We have over 1,100 staff including consultants, nursing staff, allied health and other care workers. With 236 Inpatient beds, 31 Daycare beds and 23 Daycare Oncology beds, we are also the largest Dublin private acute hospital. We have four main theatres, two minor theatres, two endoscopy suites and an extensive range of diagnostic technologies, including MRI, CT and laboratories. We also have 24 Outpatient Clinic rooms and over 230 car parking spaces.
