St. Gabriel’s School & Centre Dooradoyle, Limerick, Ireland St. Gabriel’s is a local, voluntary organization, registered charity (CHY 5548).

We provide educational and health services to children with a physical disability and/or developmental delay who live in the mid west region. It is one of only six similar services available in the country.

We are located in a state-of-the-art purpose built building in Dooradoyle. These facilities were made possible through very generous local fundraising and government grants.

Services such as physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, psychology, social work, nursing and education are provided to over 500 children and young adults. Services are provided through early intervention teams to children aged 0-6 and school age teams to children attending school. Services are provided on an out-patient basis and also to 45 children who attend St. Gabriel’s School on site.

In 2009 we opened a Hydrotherapy unit. This Hydrotherapy unit is the only one of its’ kind in the mid-west, making it possible for children and adults with significant disabilities to access much needed Hydrotherapy.
