Plan Ireland

Established in 2003, Plan Ireland is a dynamic, child-centred community development organisation, part of Plan International which itself was founded 75 years ago. Plan is one of the oldest and largest international development agencies in the world. It currently works in 50 developing countries across Africa, Asia and the Americas directly supporting more than 1,500,000 children and their families and an estimated 9,000,000 others living in communities working with Plan.

Plan's education, health, water, sanitation and livelihood projects work to lift millions of children and their families out of poverty. Plan Ireland receives tremendous support from the Irish public, over 8,200 of whom sponsor children, as well as institutional donors, corporates, trusts and foundations, etc. Nobel Peace Prize winner John Hume is the Patron of Plan Ireland. www.plan.ie
