Orwell House is a residential care setting for older persons situated in the bustling region of Rathgar in Dublin 6. Over the years Dublin's older people have experienced a care where respect for the individual comes first. We care for people who need respite, convalescent and high dependency, whether long or short term. It is also currently intending to provide care in the community setting going forward in 2011.

Orwell House consists of an old house which was built in the 1830s and retains many of its period characteristics. Attached to this is a modern extension over 3 floors which contain the main bulk of the bedroom accommodation. Orwell House can accommodate up to 61 residents and has plans to redevelop the facility to 140 beds commencing in early 2011.

Orwell House is committed to providing the best quality of care to older people in a homely comfortable atmosphere. Our teams work to a set of values that include responsibility, integrity, excellence and empathy. Knowledge of the HIQA residential standards coupled with the appropriate Fetac Level 5 qualifications are pre requisites for all care support staff.
