About Bord na Móna
A talented and diverse workforce, which continually develops its skills and talents, is central to the development of a culture necessary to bring Bord na Móna increasingly towards our Vision ‘A New Contract with Nature’.
With operations in Ireland, UK and USA , Bord na Móna is a large, diversified and innovative organisation, which is constantly evolving. We recruit graduates and experienced professionals who balance talent and creativity with a willingness to deliver results. We ensure that we have the right number of people in the right roles at the right time.
To do this, we have a structured application process for recruiting and selecting the best talent with values that are aligned to reflect our company’s values, which include being: Resourceful, Respectful and Engaging.
We reward them through professional challenges, opportunities for career and personal growth, and our benefits.
"I have gained invaluable experience and am surrounded by friendly people who are always willing to give advice or help. Bord na Móna is an organisation that recognises the need to diversify in order to secure a sustainable future and am delighted to be involved in ’a new contract with nature’.”

"The Bord na Móna Graduate Programme gives graduates the opportunity to work in different businesses and departments throughout the company. You get a great insight into various aspects of the businesses during each placement and get to work with a wide variety of people. This opportunity would rarely arise for those who join the company outside of the Graduate Programme and it provides a wonderful opportunity to gain vast experience that can be used in a future career either within Bord na Móna

“There’s no such thing as an average day. Work might be carried on from the day before, or you could get a call out to the bog to a machine that isn’t working. We head out by tractor or rail, diagnose the problem and fix it there if we can. If the problem can’t be fixed on site, it’s back to the works to weld, cut and fabricate as required. Going out on site is great, because you’re learning on the job as you fix the problems.”
